- A novel idea just struck me as I was commenting Proposal v6...
-
- How difficult would it to be in applications to implement a kind of shortcut
- key "double-click"? What I mean is this:
-
- Let's say we have Ctrl-F = Find (next) according to current settings, but we
- now want to change the Find settings. The traditional approach is to have
- another Ctrl-(something) to call up the dialog.
-
- The novel idea is that a rapid Ctrl-F Ctrl-F sequence (hold Ctrl and press F
- twice quickly, notation Ctrl-F-F) could perhaps be intercepted and interpreted
- as a modified-Ctrl-F, in this case a request for the dialog instead of just
- performing the normal Ctrl-F function. This would be a keyboard equivalent to
- the distinction between click and double-click.
-
- Just a thought; if viable this could in future simplify binding standards.
